Summary
Senior Aerospace Engineer to lead turbine engine development, sustainment, and technology transition with strategic oversight.
We are seeking a highly experienced professional Aerospace Engineer to lead and manage advanced turbine engine programs. This role requires a strong technical background and demonstrated leadership in engine development, sustainment, and technology transition.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Lead and manage engineering teams for turbine engine programs.
- Oversee engine development, sustainment, and technology transition from S&T to fielded systems.
- Ensure air system airworthiness and evaluate research for fleet integration.
- Serve as a senior design expert, providing technical management and oversight for advanced turbine engines.
- Coordinate with propulsion S&T and acquisition programs, defining goals and conducting technical reviews.
- Identify technology constraints, prioritize development, and manage technology insertion projects.
- Contribute to acquisition policy formulation and serve as an expert consultant to stakeholders (IPTs, PMAs, PEOs).
- Represent Naval Aviation to industry, academia, joint services, and international partners.
- Develop and execute Science & Technology (S&T) roadmaps and plans.
- *Qualifications:**
- Minimum of 1 year of specialized experience as a professional Aerospace Engineer at the GS-12/13 Federal level or equivalent in the private or public sector.
- Strong technical skills.
- Demonstrated leadership, influencing, negotiation, and strong oral/written communication skills.
