## Administrative Staff Officer (GS-11/12)
We are seeking a highly organized and analytical Administrative Staff Officer to manage critical administrative operations, analyze program effectiveness, and oversee travel programs. This role requires individuals who can drive efficiency and provide strategic recommendations to leadership.
### Key Responsibilities:
- *At the GS-11 Level:**
- Assist with program projects by analyzing new requirements and their impact on organizational effectiveness.
- Recommend improved processes, policy changes, or restructurings to accommodate new requirements.
- Support the administration of organizational Travel, DTS (Defense Travel System), and Government Travel Charge Card Programs.
- *At the GS-12 Level (Includes all GS-11 responsibilities, plus):**
- Implement and manage day-to-day administration for organizational Travel, DTS, and Government Travel Charge Card Programs, reviewing plans for feasibility.
- Lead research to identify administrative problems and process gaps by conducting studies on current operating procedures.
- Present research and results to senior leadership, recommending strategies to enhance program capabilities and services.
Applicants must demonstrate specialized experience or a combination of education and experience. Creditable experience includes paid and unpaid work, such as volunteer service, which builds relevant competencies, knowledge, and skills.
- *To qualify at the GS-11 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-09 level, focused on program project analysis, process improvement recommendations, and assisting with travel programs.
- **Education (in lieu of experience):** A Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree, or 3 full years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to such a degree, or an LL.M. (if related).
- **Combination:** A mix of qualifying specialized experience and graduate education may be used.
- *To qualify at the GS-12 Level:**
- **Experience:** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, including implementing and administering travel programs, leading administrative research, and presenting findings to leadership.
- **Note:** Education cannot be substituted for specialized experience at the GS-12 level.
