Activism Digital Content Creator

Join the Institute for Justice (IJ) as a Content Creator on our Activism team in Arlington, VA (hybrid schedule). IJ is a mission-driven organization dedicated to challenging and reforming local and state policies related to economic liberty, property rights, and government accountability through strategic advocacy and powerful storytelling.

This role will expand the social media presence of our key initiatives (Americans Against Qualified Immunity; Beauty, Not Barriers; The Barber Project; Cities Work) by creating daily, engaging content for Facebook, Instagram, and X, and developing short-form video accounts from the ground up.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Develop visually engaging Instagram/Facebook posts (carousels, infographics, reels).
• Edit short-form video content for multiple platforms, ensuring alignment with brand mission and messaging.
• Create graphics for engaging LinkedIn posts/ads.
• Research TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube trends to develop viral content strategies and optimize engagement.
• Source and edit high-quality clips, graphics, and text overlays using tools like CapCut, Adobe Premiere, or Canva.
• Stay informed on relevant policy issues to identify compelling stories, data, and quotes for visual content.
• *Qualifications:**
• Proven experience with video editing (e.g., CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut) and graphic design (e.g., Canva, Adobe Illustrator).
• Familiarity with TikTok trends, Instagram Reels, and effective short-form content strategies.
• Strong visual and digital storytelling skills.
• Passion for justice, activism, and creating viral content.
• **Bonus:** Recent graduate in Media Studies, Marketing, Journalism, or Political Science.
