Accountant

Join our team as a GS-12 Accountant/Auditor. We are looking for a skilled professional to manage financial operations, ensure compliance, and drive process improvements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage general ledgers and accounts.
• Prepare and validate comprehensive financial reports.
• Analyze financial statements and provide insights.
• Advise personnel on accounting policies and procedures.
• Resolve complex accounting and auditing issues.
• Identify and propose financial process improvements.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• EDUCATION:

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Public Administration, including 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours in business law); or * A combination of at least 4 years of professional accounting experience plus one of the following: * 24 semester hours in accounting/auditing (up to 6 hours in business law). * Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) license. * A degree with substantial accounting coursework (e.g., 15 semester hours) combined with demonstrated full-performance accounting experience and recognized professional accounting knowledge.

• SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE (GS-12 Level): One year of experience equivalent to the GS-11 level, demonstrating the ability to perform the Key Responsibilities listed above.
