## Accountant (GS-13)

We are seeking a highly qualified Accountant to manage audit processes and provide expert financial advisory services within a federal context. This role requires a strong background in accounting principles and auditing practices.

### Key Responsibilities:

• Manage end-to-end audit processes related to integration efforts.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure implementation of audit-compliant processes.
• Provide expert advisory services on various audit functions.

### Qualifications: Candidates must meet ONE of the following basic education/experience requirements, PLUS specialized experience for the GS-13 level.

  Basic Education & Experience:**

• **Option A: Education**

* Bachelor's or higher degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance, or Public Administration. * Degree must include or be supplemented by at least 24 semester hours in accounting (up to 6 hours may be in business law). * **Official transcripts reflecting degree conferral are mandatory.**

• **Option B: Combination of Education & Experience**

* At least four years of accounting experience, or an equivalent combination of accounting experience, college-level education, and training that provided professional accounting knowledge. * **and** your background must include ONE of the following: * Twenty-four semester hours in accounting or auditing courses (up to 6 hours may be in business law). * A certificate as a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). * Completion of a degree with substantial accounting coursework (e.g., 15 semester hours), *provided you have successfully worked at the full-performance level in accounting/auditing and a panel of professional accountants has verified your knowledge.* * **Official transcripts are mandatory for any college-level education cited.**

• *2. Specialized Experience (for GS-13):**
• One year of specialized experience directly related to the duties of this position.
• This experience must be equivalent to the GS-12 level in the Federal service, military, or private sector.
• Creditable experience includes managing audit processes, stakeholder coordination for audit compliance, and providing expert audit advice.
• *Additional Requirements:**
• Applicants must meet all eligibility requirements, including time-in-grade (for GS positions) and other regulatory requirements by the closing date.
• Volunteer experience will be credited towards qualifying experience.
