Montgomery Parks is seeking a highly organized Website Manager to join the Public Affairs and Community Partnerships Division. This role is crucial for maintaining and optimizing our digital presence, ensuring an accessible and engaging user experience.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Manage and maintain the department's website, ensuring adherence to publishing standards and digital brand guidelines.
  • Implement and optimize SEO strategies to improve web traffic, engagement, and KPIs.
  • Ensure website and third-party plug-ins meet WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
  • Monitor and analyze website performance using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics), reporting on key metrics.
  • Manage and update website guidelines, including quality control for content, graphics, and multimedia.
  • Navigate WordPress for content creation, editing (copy, images, video, SEO metadata), and ensuring accessibility.
  • Support digital marketing initiatives, including email campaigns and performance analysis.
  • Evaluate, recommend, and consult with vendors for website enhancements, security, and maintenance.
  • Proactively monitor and address security vulnerabilities; manage DNS records and domain reputation.
  • Collaborate across departments to ensure content compliance and provide staff training on web standards.
  • *Qualifications & Skills:**
  • In-depth knowledge of Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 AA.
  • Proficiency in SEO best practices and implementation.
  • Strong understanding of web development principles (HTML, CSS, JavaScript) and WordPress content management.
  • Experience with UX design, content strategy, and information architecture.
  • Skilled in using analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics) and assisting with Google Ads campaigns.
  • Proficiency in graphic design software (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite).
  • Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication, with the ability to train staff and collaborate effectively.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • *Working Conditions:**
  • Primarily office-based with deadlines.
  • Hybrid telework available after six months.
  • Occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work may be required.
