Job Description
Senior Publications Marketing Specialist to develop, execute, and analyze campaigns for a leading talent development publisher.
ATD Press, a leader in talent development publishing, seeks a Senior Specialist, Publications Marketing. This pivotal role drives marketing initiatives for a growing list of books and publications, contributing to expanded sales and market exposure.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop, execute, and track marketing campaigns across email, direct mail, print/digital, content, and social media.
* Write compelling marketing copy for diverse channels, supporting collateral development.
* Set up and deploy email campaigns using internal marketing systems.
* Monitor performance metrics, provide weekly tracking analysis, and optimize campaigns.
* Update website content with a focus on user experience and optimization.
* Curate targeted audience marketing lists through data processing.
* Collaborate closely with marketing, publishing, and training professionals.
* Interface with authors, offering guidance on marketing best practices.
* Facilitate special tactics campaigns for publications and community engagement.
**Qualifications:**
* Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, or equivalent relevant experience.
* Minimum 3-5 years of marketing experience, with at least 2 years in a publishing environment.
* Proven experience with email marketing programs and HTML.
* Exceptional copywriting and interpersonal communication skills.
* Strong project management skills, capable of managing multiple deadlines simultaneously.
* Self-starter with a proactive, resourceful, and detail-oriented approach.
* Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities.
* Ability to quickly learn systems and understand talent development content nuances.
* Applied knowledge of Chicago Manual of Style and AP preferred.
* Collaborative and client-focused mindset.
**Work Environment:**
* Hybrid role based in Alexandria, VA. Expect 4 days per week in-office for the first quarter, with potential for more hybrid flexibility thereafter.
