Lead, Software Engineer, Front End

Capital One is seeking a Lead Front End Software Engineer passionate about cutting-edge open-source frameworks and emerging technologies to drive major transformation. **What You'll Do:** * Lead technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform application systems. * Perform test-driven development on Front End Applications. * Collaborate with digital product managers to deliver robust cloud-based solutions. * Mentor engineers and actively participate in technology communities. * Utilize programming languages such as JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, and Java. * Work with open-source frameworks, RESTful web services, and on cross-browser/device development. * Contribute to teams focused on distributed microservices and full-stack systems. **Basic Qualifications:** * Bachelor’s Degree. * At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience. * At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). **Preferred Qualifications:** * Master's Degree. * 7+ years of experience in Angular, JavaScript, React, Node, TypeScript, or Java. * 4+ years of experience in open source frameworks. * 1+ year of people management experience. * 2+ years of experience in Agile practices.
