  • *About the Role:**
Lead the business development lifecycle, focusing on profitable growth across multiple market sectors. This role requires a self-starter who is adaptable, a strong problem-solver, and committed to delivering results.

  • *Key Responsibilities:**
  • Achieve annual average anticipated profit of $2-3M, building high-quality backlog.
  • Develop and execute a comprehensive Business Development (BD) plan and pipeline.
  • Contribute to Business Unit (BU) plans and goals, managing 8-10 focus prospects in CRM.
  • Formulate and articulate capture and differentiation strategies for pursuits.
  • Develop an understanding of market conditions, competitors, and project delivery options.
  • Manage sales deliverables, including planning and communication with operations, sales, and marketing.
  • Create technical content and collaborate with operations partners on proposals/presentations.
  • Obtain and record debriefs for all wins and losses.
  • Maintain ongoing client relationships post-project startup.
  • Participate in client satisfaction processes and actively engage in professional/community organizations.
  • Build a strong network within the local A/E/C community.
  • Coach and mentor less experienced team members on business development.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records and forecast reports.
  • *Qualifications:**
  • **Experience/Education:** Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Business, Marketing, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-8 years of business development experience within the Architecture, Engineering, and Construction (A/E/C) industry.
  • **Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:**
* Strong verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to develop and document strategic plans. * Skilled in shaping impactful client-facing deliverables. * Demonstrated competitive instinct, high effort, and rapid mastery of the role.

Salary is determined by factors such as location, skills, education, and experience. For Arlington, VA, the range is $130,000 - $170,000, plus comprehensive benefits and retirement program.
