Supervisory Budget Analyst (GS-15)
The Office of Management's Office of Budget seeks a seasoned Supervisory Budget Analyst to manage complex federal budgets and lead a team. This executive-level role requires expertise in financial management within a large federal agency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the planning, formulation, and administration of financial management policies and procedures.
- Manage and oversee multi-billion dollar budget appropriations, including presentation material preparation.
- Analyze and revise budget requests, providing expert recommendations.
- Interpret complex legislation and policy guidance to assess budgetary impacts and advise program staff.
- Skillfully coordinate diverse resource requests from high-level stakeholders.
- Direct and mentor a team of Budget Analysts with varied portfolios.
- Provide high-quality, detailed financial analysis to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- One year of specialized experience at the GS-14 level (or equivalent) in financial management.
- Expert knowledge of federal and departmental budget processes, including Congressional and OMB policies.
- Proven analytical reasoning skills for program and budgetary relationships, and multi-year planning.
- Strong communication skills to convey complex financial information and advice.
- Demonstrated organizational awareness and planning/evaluation capabilities.
- Experience managing and developing a team of budget professionals.
