Senior Director, Content Design - US Card and Small & Mid-Market Business

Capital One is seeking a Senior Director, Content Design to lead and mature the content design discipline for US Card and Small & Mid-Market Business. This role focuses on driving human-centered digital experiences by establishing standards, overseeing research, and leading a talented design team. **Key Responsibilities:** * Lead and mentor a content design team, fostering collaboration and growth. * Define and implement consistent content standards, best practices, and governance procedures. * Develop and oversee a robust content research framework to ensure data-driven content decisions. * Leverage expertise in UX writing, storytelling, and content strategy to create impactful digital content. * Drive experience excellence and business outcomes through complex, high-impact projects. * Champion human-centered design, integrating diverse customer perspectives and research insights. * Collaborate cross-functionally with product, engineering, marketing, and analytics leaders. * Present strategic direction and insights to executive stakeholders, influencing key decisions. **Qualifications:** * Minimum 10 years of experience in content, strategy, or user experience design writing. * Minimum 3 years of experience leading design teams. * Proven ability to establish content standards, governance models, and testing protocols. * Deep experience partnering with cross-functional executive stakeholders to shape strategy. * Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma) and understanding of web/mobile technologies. * Exceptional written and verbal communication, and interpersonal skills. * Experience working with and contributing to design systems preferred. **Location & Salary:** * McLean, VA: $264,300 - $301,700 * New York, NY: $288,400 - $329,100 * This role is eligible for performance-based incentive compensation.
