Program Officer sought to develop compelling wildlife conservation content, manage communications, and engage audiences for World Wildlife Fund.
Join World Wildlife Fund (WWF) as a Program Officer, Wildlife Conservation Communications. This role amplifies conservation efforts by creating and disseminating compelling content. **Key Responsibilities:** * Research, write, and edit engaging content (stories, web, social, video scripts) about WWF's wildlife work. * Develop and update communication products, including newsletters and internal calendars. * Manage the Wildlife Communications inbox, handling inquiries, fact-checking, and media coordination. * Support the creation of graphics and visuals explaining conservation priorities. * Collaborate on campaigns, donor appeals, and special commemoration days. * Assist in evaluating audience engagement and content performance using analytics. * Monitor trends in conservation storytelling and best practices. **Qualifications:** * 4-6 years of professional experience, or 2 years with an advanced degree in a related field (e.g., conservation communications, environmental science). * Passion for and knowledge of wildlife conservation. * Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex topics. * Strong organizational, project management, and storytelling abilities. * Proven capacity to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment. * Proficiency in Microsoft Office; familiarity with Canva or Adobe tools is a plus. * Excellent interpersonal skills, proactive, and resourceful mindset. * Commitment to fostering an inclusive culture and alignment with WWF's core values. **Salary Range:** $64,100 - $80,100 **Eligibility:** Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. (position not eligible for visa sponsorship). **To Apply:** Submit cover letter and resume via the WWF Careers Page, Requisition #26007.
