## Lead Software Engineer, Front End **Location:** McLean, Virginia Join Capital One as a Lead Front End Software Engineer to drive technological transformation, building innovative solutions in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. ### What You'll Do: * Lead the technical design and development of cross-functional, multi-platform front-end applications. * Perform software development using a test-driven development (TDD) approach. * Collaborate with product managers to deliver robust, cloud-based solutions that enhance customer experiences. * Mentor other engineers and stay abreast of emerging technologies. * Utilize programming languages and frameworks including JavaScript (Angular, React, Node), HTML/CSS, TypeScript, Java, open-source frameworks, and RESTful web services for cross-browser and cross-device development. ### Qualifications: **Basic:** * Bachelor’s Degree. * At least 4 years of professional software engineering experience. * At least 1 year of experience with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud). **Preferred:** * Master's Degree. * 7+ years of experience with JavaScript, React, Angular, Node, TypeScript, or Java. * 4+ years of experience with open-source frameworks. * 1+ year of people management experience. * 2+ years of experience in Agile practices. **Important Note:** Capital One will not sponsor new employment authorization or offer immigration-related support for this position.
