Job Description

Lead IT security and network management, applying federal policies and cloud expertise to protect critical information systems.
This role is for an experienced IT professional specializing in cybersecurity and network management within a federal environment. You will be responsible for applying and overseeing security protocols across information systems and cloud environments to protect critical data. **Key Responsibilities & Experience:** * Apply, coordinate, and oversee robust security and network management procedures for IT and cloud systems, ensuring compliance with risk and vulnerability protection policies. * Utilize expert knowledge of IT architecture, cloud service environments, and IT protocols to secure complex federal information systems. * Implement state-of-the-art IT security advancements, cloud security methodologies, and project management principles. * Demonstrate comprehensive knowledge of federal regulations including FISMA, FISCAM, HIPAA, FedRAMP, and Interagency Program Office (IPO) guidelines. * Possess strong understanding of IT network management, systems administration, and Assessment and Authorization (A&A) processes. * Apply knowledge of physical, managerial, and operational controls to safeguard the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information. **Basic IT Competencies Required:** * Attention to Detail * Customer Service * Oral Communication * Problem Solving **Minimum Qualifications:** * One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-12 level in an IT-related field. * Current federal employees must meet Time-In-Grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-12 for GS-13). * Experience can be paid, unpaid, or volunteer work, pro-rated for part-time.
