Job Description

Seeking a senior IT Security professional with expert NIST/RMF knowledge to enhance federal cybersecurity operations and strategy.
Seeking an experienced IT professional with deep expertise in cybersecurity frameworks to manage and enhance federal IT security programs. This role requires a commitment to implementing best practices and continuous improvement. **Key Responsibilities:** * Apply expert knowledge of FIPS and NIST publications (e.g., FIPS 199, NIST SP 800-series including 800-30, 800-53). * Utilize critical thinking and system analysis skills to identify and resolve complex IT security problems. * Develop clear and concise technical documentation and reports. * Communicate effectively with clients and diverse audiences, translating complex technical information into understandable terms. * Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior leadership on techniques, tools, and processes to enhance organizational and operational IT security efficiency. * Ensure the mission is achieved by maintaining substantive program knowledge and adhering to IT security policies. **Required Qualifications:** * Minimum one year of specialized experience equivalent to a GS-13 level in IT security. * Expert knowledge of the Risk Management Framework (RMF) and NIST IT security policies. * Proven IT-related experience demonstrating core competencies: * Attention to Detail * Customer Service * Oral Communication * Problem Solving * Current federal employees must meet Time-in-Grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-13 for GS-14 consideration). * Experience includes paid, unpaid, and volunteer work (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps).
