Job Description
Seeking an experienced IT security professional with TS/SCI clearance to protect federal IT systems and ensure compliance.
This position seeks a skilled IT professional to manage and secure critical information systems within a federal environment. You will be instrumental in protecting IT assets and ensuring compliance with stringent security protocols.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Develop, implement, and coordinate activities for IT system protection and restoration.
* Monitor and evaluate IT systems for compliance with security requirements.
* Provide expert advice and guidance on IT security policies and procedures for network systems.
* Ensure the proper protection and handling of evidence in computer crime investigations.
**Required Qualifications:**
* **Experience:** Minimum of one year of specialized IT experience equivalent to the GS-12 level, with a focus on IT security, network operations, or computer forensics.
* **Security Clearance:** Must possess an active Top Secret (TS) / Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) clearance and be able to access a Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF).
* **Technical Expertise:**
* Methods for evaluating, implementing, and disseminating IT security tools and procedures.
* IT security certification and accreditation requirements.
* Network operations and protocols.
* Computer forensics principles.
* **Core Competencies:** Demonstrated proficiency in attention to detail, customer service, oral communication, and problem-solving.
* **Federal Applicants:** Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-12 level (or equivalent) to be eligible for the GS-13 position.
