IT Specialist (Appsw)

This role is for an IT professional contributing to critical software lifecycle management within a federal environment. **Key Responsibilities:** * Conduct code reviews and evaluate software release readiness. * Manage and execute software deployment activities. * Analyze and troubleshoot software configuration issues. * Contribute to software design and configuration architecture using relevant tools. **Required Qualifications & Experience:** * **IT-Related Experience:** Demonstrated proficiency in the following five core competencies: * **Data Systems:** Knowledge of computer hardware, software development, data handling, and computing systems, especially for aerospace flight/ground systems. * **Information Technology Architecture:** Understanding of architectural methodologies for system design, internal operations, and inter-system interactions. * **Analytical Thinking:** Skilled in methodical problem-solving, breaking down complex issues, comparing alternatives, and identifying discrepancies. * **Communications:** Ability to effectively convey information to diverse audiences and actively listen. * **Specialized Experience (GS-11):** One year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-9 level, specifically in conducting code reviews, software deployment, configuration analysis/troubleshooting, and design/architecture. * **Federal Employees (Time-in-Grade):** Current federal employees must have served 52 weeks at the GS-9 level to qualify for GS-11. SF-50 documentation is required. * **Experience Definition:** All qualifying experience, including paid, unpaid, and volunteer work (35-40 hours/week for full-time credit), will be considered.
