Job Description
Seeking an experienced IT professional to provide expert advisement, manage risks, and oversee complex IT projects and initiatives.
This role requires an experienced IT professional to provide expert guidance and manage complex IT initiatives.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Provide advisement on department-level IT initiatives.
* Maintain and apply expert technical knowledge of IT risk analysis and management.
* Systematically manage problems affecting IT projects, including implementation services, work breakdown structure, budget, and common project management tools.
* Ensure adherence to project management policy, processes, and procedures (scope, schedule, cost, resources, risk assessment, risk mitigation, contracting, and communications).
**Qualifications:**
* **IT-Related Experience:** Demonstrated experience in an IT field.
* **Core Competencies:**
* Attention to Detail: Thorough and conscientious in work.
* Customer Service: Skilled in assessing needs, providing solutions, and ensuring client satisfaction.
* Oral Communication: Effectively conveys information and listens attentively.
* Problem Solving: Identifies issues, evaluates information, and recommends sound solutions.
* **Specialized Experience (GS-12 equivalent):** At least one year of experience directly providing advisement on IT initiatives, applying expert knowledge of risk analysis/management, and systematically managing IT project components (budget, schedule, scope, risk, etc.).
**Note:** Applicants must meet time-in-grade requirements (52 weeks at GS-12 for a GS-13 position) by the closing date, if applicable.
