Health Insurance Specialist

This role requires a highly experienced professional to manage and strategize responses to congressional oversight for a federal agency, specifically concerning CMS programs. You will be instrumental in facilitating effective communication between the agency and Congress.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Draft comprehensive responses to congressional oversight letters, prepared for Department or Agency head signatures.
• Analyze congressional oversight requests to develop and recommend strategic approaches to senior leadership.
• Produce high-quality written documents for senior leadership engagements with Members of Congress, including detailed briefing documents, official letters to oversight committees, issue papers, and critical decision memoranda.
• Collaborate directly with Members of Congress and their staff on Agency responses to oversight requests pertaining to CMS programs.
• *Required Qualifications:**
• Minimum of one year (52 weeks) of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-14 grade level in the Federal government, or comparable experience in the private or public sector.
• This experience must include:

* Drafting responses to congressional oversight letters for executive signature. * Analyzing congressional oversight requests and providing strategic recommendations to senior leadership. * Producing written materials (e.g., briefing documents, letters, issue papers, decision memoranda) for senior leaders for meetings with Members of Congress. * Working with Members of Congress or their staff on Agency responses to congressional oversight requests regarding CMS programs.
