Graphic Designer

The Alaka`ina Foundation Family of Companies is seeking an **Experienced Graphic Designer** to support our government customer in **Bethesda, Maryland**. **Overview:** Support the Vision Center of Excellence at the Defense Health Agency by developing engaging visual designs for critical education, training, and readiness projects. Manage design initiatives from concept to delivery, ensuring clear and impactful communication. **Key Responsibilities:** * Develop innovative and visually compelling design concepts for digital and print assets, including logos, web graphics, social media visuals, infographics, and presentations. * Manage design projects comprehensively, from initial briefing through final delivery, adhering to timelines and client expectations. * Provide strategic design direction, including defining color palettes, typography, and overall visual style. * Collaborate closely with staff and clients to understand requirements, present design solutions, and effectively incorporate feedback. * Stay current with design trends and government best practices to integrate cutting-edge elements. **Required Qualifications:** * Bachelor's degree in a related field. * Minimum of five (5) years of professional graphic design experience. * Demonstrated proficiency in industry-standard design software, specifically Adobe Creative Suite (Acrobat, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), Camtasia, and Lightroom Classic. Premier Pro experience is a plus. * Strong portfolio showcasing diverse design skills and successful projects. * Exceptional visual design skills, including a strong understanding of composition, color theory, typography, and layout. * Ability to generate creative digital media content. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills, capable of translating complex information into clear, simple messages. * Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a dynamic, fast-paced environment. * U.S. Citizenship required. * Ability to pass a Tier 1 background check.
