Graphic Designer

The Hatcher Group is seeking a talented Designer to join our award-winning team, creating visual solutions that inform, engage, and inspire for clients making a meaningful impact. We offer a flexible-first work culture with remote options, though candidates within commuting distance of our Bethesda, MD office are preferred for weekly in-person collaboration.

• *The Role:**

As a Designer, you will collaborate across teams to develop brand identities, marketing materials, and digital assets. You'll translate complex concepts into compelling visual narratives, ensuring designs are both visually captivating and strategically sound.

• *Key Responsibilities:**
• Design a wide range of marketing materials, ad campaigns, logos, branding, annual reports, and publications.
• Create digital content including social media graphics, email templates, web banners, and website wireframes.
• Produce print materials such as brochures, reports, event graphics, data visualizations, and out-of-home advertising.
• Develop video graphics, illustrations, and animations.
• Collaborate with marketing, digital, and video teams to meet campaign objectives.
• Remediate and optimize documents for Section 508 accessibility standards.
• Efficiently manage multiple projects and meet deadlines under pressure.
• *What You'll Bring:**
• Bachelor’s degree with 2-4 years of relevant design experience, preferably in an agency or fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, Acrobat Pro, XD) and Mac OS.
• Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), including creating templates.
• Strong understanding of design principles, typography, layout, color theory, and print production methods.
• Exceptional organizational skills, creativity, and the ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
• Excellent layout, typography, and compositional skills.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• *Bonus Skills:**
• Familiarity with Canva, WordPress, or other design tools.
• Experience with AI-based design tools (e.g., Runway, Adobe Firefly).
• Knowledge of 508 compliance remediation (training provided if needed).
• Experience with After Effects and motion graphics.
• *Compensation & Benefits:**
• **Salary:** $63,000 - $78,000 annually, based on experience.
