Front End Developer With Python Django Experience

Futrend Technology is seeking a skilled Front End Developer with Python/Django/Postgres experience to join our team. We deliver innovative business and technology solutions, primarily for federal agencies in Healthcare IT, Federal Financial Management, and Grants Management.

Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain responsive, user-friendly web interfaces using React and Angular.
• Integrate front-end applications with RESTful APIs, connecting with Python/Django/Oracle/Postgres back-end services.
• Ensure cross-browser compatibility, Section 508 compliance, and optimize application performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve issues in existing applications; conduct comprehensive browser compatibility testing.
• Contribute to the maintenance of current and development of new applications using Python/Django/Postgres.
• Participate in system documentation, code reviews, knowledge-sharing sessions, and stay current with emerging front-end technologies.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent work experience).
• 3+ years of front-end development experience, preferably in enterprise or government projects.
• Strong proficiency in JavaScript, jQuery, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Expert knowledge of responsive web design and experience with modern frameworks like React and/or Angular.
• Experience integrating front-end applications with RESTful APIs.
• Knowledge of Python/Django, PL/SQL, and relational database management systems.
• Understanding of key website design principles and accessibility standards (e.g., Section 508, WCAG).
• Familiarity with Agile development practices and tools (e.g., Jira, Git).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including presentation abilities; a team player and self-starter.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Active badge with NIH.
• Hands-on experience with Python/Django/Postgres.
• Experience working with federal government clients.
• Familiarity with PL/pgSQL.
