Job Description
Lead and manage comprehensive public information and operational programs, overseeing diverse teams, budgets, and strategic initiatives.
We are seeking a highly experienced professional to manage and oversee critical programs for our national agency. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a proven track record in the following areas:
**Core Responsibilities:**
* **Public Information & Education Program Management:** Lead and oversee major public information and education programs, ensuring policy consistency and achieving strategic goals. This includes long-range planning, setting objectives, making authoritative recommendations, identifying areas for development, modernizing functions for streamlined integration, and ensuring compliance.
* **Comprehensive Program Operations:** Manage all aspects of program operations, including human resources, travel, budgeting/finance, and contracting/procurement. Responsibilities involve setting and managing budgets, advising on travel policies, overseeing procurement, analyzing expenditures, assessing stakeholder needs, evaluating procedures for enhancement, leveraging relationships for modernization, and organizing resources.
* **Team Leadership & Development:** Lead and supervise a diverse, multi-disciplinary staff. This includes identifying staffing needs, recruitment, setting performance expectations, conducting evaluations, providing counsel, addressing issues, delegating work, offering professional development, encouraging participation, and improving staff productivity.
* **Copyright & Public Engagement:** Effectively convey complex copyright analysis and information through public engagement activities and educational outreach, both written and verbally.
* **Coalition Building:** Build and maintain effective coalitions by representing, negotiating, defending, and advocating for programs. Develop and maintain networks with other organizations, integrating internal and external concerns into strategic decision-making.
* **Effective Communication:** Communicate clearly and effectively in formal and informal settings, consulting with colleagues and providing information to the general public.
