Summary
Manage Child & Youth Services programs, overseeing operations, personnel, and budgets to ensure high-quality service delivery.
Join our team as a CYS Program Manager, overseeing vital child and youth services. A relocation incentive up to $7500 may be available for eligible candidates.
- *Key Responsibilities:**
- Manage multiple Child & Youth Services (CYS) programs (e.g., FCC, SAS), including oversight of center-based child/youth facilities.
- Oversee program operations, including regulatory compliance, personnel management, and budget administration (APF/NAF).
- Apply knowledge of management analysis, personnel development, and funding oversight.
- Plan, organize, and analyze complex problems, developing effective solutions.
- Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, presenting proposals to diverse audiences.
- *Required Qualifications:**
- Bachelor's degree (24 semester hours major study) in Child Development, Early Childhood Education, Home Economics (Early Childhood emphasis), Elementary Education, or a related field.
- Alternatively, equivalent coursework (24 semester hours in relevant fields) combined with experience providing comparable knowledge.
- Minimum 24 months of professional experience managing at least two CYS programs, including 1 year of responsibility for a center-based child or youth program facility.
- Experience must include working with regulatory, personnel, funding, and budgeting aspects.
- *Highly Preferred Qualifications:**
- 2+ years of experience with the Department of Defense as a CYS Program Operations Specialist, Administrator, or Coordinator.
- Experience with large Garrison CYS programs, including multiple facilities/activities.
- Knowledge of the CYS Non-Appropriated Funds (NAF) funding process.
- 3+ years of CYS experience leading large organizations or sections (150+ staff).
