Job Description
Internship for a communications and fundraising assistant, supporting scenic conservation through content creation and donor engagement.
Scenic America is seeking a passionate Communications and Fundraising Intern for Fall 2025 (Sept 2 - Dec 5). This in-person internship supports scenic conservation efforts through advocacy, content creation, and donor engagement. Academic credit is available, and a $150 stipend is provided.
**Key Responsibilities:**
* Draft articles for website and newsletter.
* Assist with press releases and media outreach.
* Develop and monitor social media content.
* Help organize webinars and affiliate communications.
* Monitor media coverage of conservation issues.
* Support website analytics and online advertising.
* Manage photo/video libraries and expand media databases.
* Assist with donor appeals, research, and grant applications.
**Qualifications:**
* Strong attention to detail and excellent research skills.
* Exceptional written, oral, and interpersonal communication.
* Motivation for scenic conservation topics.
* Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
* Excellent judgment and discretion.
* Ability to work independently, organize, and prioritize.
* Graphic design, WordPress, Google Analytics, and social media platform familiarity are a plus.
**Work Details:**
* **Hours:** 30-40 hours/week, flexible.
* **Pay:** $150 stipend.
* **Location:** In-person, Washington D.C.
* **Schedule:** Monday - Friday.
