## Student Athletics Communications Assistant (American University Students Only) Join the American University Athletics Communications team to cover and promote AU sports programs. This role offers valuable exposure, training, and mentorship for a career in intercollegiate athletics. **Key Responsibilities:** * Assist with statistics during athletics competitions, including tracking substitutions and observing gameplay. * Support in-game media coverage by creating score graphics and clipping highlights for social media. * Update in-season and end-of-season records. * Organize and label media photos. * Write previews, recaps, student-athlete biographies, and feature stories. * Conduct historical research for athletics programs. * Update and maintain the official athletics website, AUEagles.com. **Requirements:** * Must be a current enrolled American University student. * Availability to work nights and weekends is required. * Approximate commitment of 10 hours per week. **Compensation:** * $17.95 - $18.50 per hour. **Position Details:** * Part-Time, Non-Exempt * Both office hours and event work are included.
